15 Styles of Distorted Thinking1. FILTERING: You take the negative details and magnify them while filtering out all positive
aspects of a situation.
2. POLARIZED THINKING: Things are black or white, good or bad. You have to be per-
fect or you're a failure. There is no middle ground.
3. OVERGENERALIZATION: You come to a general conclusion based on a single incident
or piece of evidence. If something bad happens once you expect it to happen over and over
again.
4. MIND READING: Without their saying so, you know what people are feeling and why they
act the way they do. In particular, you are able to divene how people are feeling toward you.
5. CATASTROPHIZING: You expect disaster. You notice or hear about a problem and start
"what ifs:" What if tragedy strikes? What if it happens to you?
6. PERSONALIZATION: Thinking that everything people do or say is some kind of a reaction
to you. You also compare yourself to others, trying to determine who's smarter, better
looking, etc.
7. CONTROL FALLACIES: If you feel externally controlled, you see yourself as helpless,
a victim of fate. The fallacy of internal control has you responsible for the pain and happ-
iness of everyone around you.
8. FALLACY OF FAIRNESS: You feel resentful because you think you know what's fair
but other people won't agree with you.
9. BLAMING: You hold other people responsible for your pain, or take the other tack and
blame yourself for every problem or reversal.
10. SHOULDS: You have a list of ironclad rules about how you and other people should act.
People who break the rules anger you and you feel guilty if you violate the rules.
11. EMOTIONAL REASONING: You believe that what you feel must be true-automatically.
If you feel stupid and boring, then you must be stupid and boring.
12. FALLACY OF CHANGE: You expect that other people will change to suit you if you just
pressure or cajole them enough. You need to change people because your hopes for happ-
ness seem to depend entirely on them.
13. GLOBAL LABELING: You generalize one or two qualities into a negative global judge-
ment.
14. BEING RIGHT: You are continually on trail to prove that your opinions and actions are
correct. Being wrong is unthinkable and you will go to any length to demonstrate your
rightness.
15. HEAVEN'S REWARD FALLACY: You expect all your sacrifice and self-denial to pay
off, as if there were someone keeping score. You feel bitter when the reward doesn't come.

Pro Legalization of Drugs For some time, various lobbyists have campaigned in Washington pro legalization of drugs.
Their arguments for the legalization of drugs vary in rationale, from
the potential medical benefits of marijuana, to the ability to tax drug
sales.
Pro legalization of drugs lobbyists make several valid arguments about the arbitrary nature of drug legality. For instance, though alcohol can be considered a drug due to its psychological effects and potentially addictive nature, it was only outlawed during the Prohibition era. Nicotine and caffeine are both addictive substances used like illegal drugs, yet very little government regulation exists for the latter. Also, at various points in time, a number of the drugs that are now illegal were legal in the United States. The argument that certain drugs are only illegal because of the threat they pose to the alcohol and cigarette industry is definitely popular. By keeping substances like marijuana and cocaine illegal, organized crime and racketeering develops to traffic these substances, leading to increased crime, which might be prevented if the government controlled the sale of such substances. By taxing the sale of formerly illegal drugs, the government could eliminate a large part of the national debt. Many pro legalization of drugs advocates mainly sponsor the legalization of marijuana. As the side effects of marijuana are generally mild and the drug is not chemically addicting, a large sector of the American public view the drug's illegality as dubious. Critics also note the medicinal benefits of marijuana, especially as a pain management drug for people suffering from cancer or fibromyalgia. Smoking or consuming marijuana is far less harmful and addictive than many prescription drugs that contain some form of opium. Because marijuana remains illegal, hundreds of thousands of people each year are arrested for simple possession of marijuana. In the end, pro legalization of drugs advocates want people to question whether the amount of money and resources spent enforcing drug laws is worth it. Has the War on Drugs truly been a beneficial policy in America? People are still using and distributing illegal drugs despite the often harsh and severe consequences.

Sexual Addiction Sexual addiction, also
commonly referred to as hypersexuality, is the center of some debate
and controversy among psychologists. Three schools of thought exist in
the debate of how or whether sexual addiction should be classified as a
mental disorder.
The first school of thought is that sexual addiction is like any other addiction, such as drug or alcohol addiction. In psychological terms, addiction is classified using a number of common traits. Some of these traits include the failure to resist the urge to engage in a certain behavior, excessive or frequent engaging in a certain behavior despite negative consequences and awareness of the detrimental effects of such activity, and a need to increase the frequency or intensity of the behavior to maintain the same effect. In essence, like drug addicts, sexual addicts cannot control or resist the urge to engage in increasingly lewd, hypersexual activities. Psychologists of this school of thought also believe that sexual addicts may even experienced withdrawal-like effects should excessive sexual behavior stop. The second school of thought is that sexual addiction is an obsessive/compulsive disorder. Sex addicts cannot choose whether or not to engage in sexual behavior, as they simply must do so because of their compulsive personality. These hypersexual individuals also spend exorbitant amounts of time pondering sexual activity, such that it can consume their thoughts for hours or even days. Like addicts, the obsessive and compulsive nature of sex addicts causes them to continue engaging in extreme sexual behavior despite it interfering with everyday life. Sexual addiction may destroy family life, social life, and even has the possibility of ruining a career. Sexual addiction does not only refer to engaging in numerous sexual acts with various partners. Sex addicts may also excessively view pornography, have cybersex, or masturbate. Sex addicts may also exhibit both addiction and obsessive/compulsive symptoms concurrently, thus blurring the rationale of what causes hypersexuality. Though many psychologists believe that sexual addiction is an actual mental illness, it is not listed in the latest Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). This may be a result of the argument as to the cause of the disorder or the debate on the existence of it at all, which is the third school of thought in regards to sexual addiction. Proponents of this school of thought believe that hypersexuality is merely a consequence of cultural influences and possibly other mental disorders.

Muscle Building Supplements Muscle building supplements
are a popular resource today for bodybuilders and individuals looking
to more quickly build muscle. There are three major supplement options
for those looking to build muscle safely: protein supplements, creatine
supplements, and multivitamins.
Protein supplements are perhaps the most popular and necessary muscle building supplement. The amino acids that make up protein are a key ingredient in muscle. Several forms of protein supplements are available, but most people will stick with whey protein, casein protein, and egg protein. The difference between these types of protein is the time which they take to digest. Whey protein is digested the quickest (usually in about 30 minutes), egg protein is somewhat quick to digest (in a couple hours), and casein protein takes the longest to digest. Vegetarians do have the option of using soy supplements to build muscle, though they are less effective than the protein supplements previously listed. Consuming creatine supplements can make a vast difference in muscle building workout sessions. Creatine is a perfectly safe muscle building supplement that supplies muscles with extra energy to increase the length and difficulty of exercise. While some people experience no effect from creatine supplements, the majority of people taking creatine supplements will notice an increase in weight and an improvement in muscle strength. Users of creatine also recommend cycling its use to prevent the body from growing accustomed to it, causing the body to stop gaining weight. Multivitamins are the final muscle building supplement necessary for a health workout. People gaining weight and performing large amounts of strength training exercises may discover they need more vitamins and minerals to stay healthy. Thus, multivitamins are a great way to keep the body healthy while building muscle mass. The majority of muscle building supplements are not drugs, and sticking to the mainstream supplements like whey protein or creatine allows a person to legally gain muscle mass quickly and efficiently.

Foods to Increase Libido Sometimes, partners like to have something special to spice up the
relationship. Eating the right food can improve sex drive and make
lovemaking even more satisfying. Besides the obvious examples of erotic
food, like chocolate or peaches, there are a number of other foods to increase libido.
One less obvious example of a food that increases libido is garlic. While eating garlic before kissing someone is not recommended, garlic does contain an organic compound called allicin, which dramatically increases blood flow throughout the body. Blood flow is especially important for arousal, as blood flow increases to sexual organs before and during sex. Take note, however, that allicin is only produced by chopping garlic, so eating cloves of garlic will do no good for the sex drive. Just remember to have some mints on hand if you decide to eat garlic on a date. When it comes to foods to increase libido, one popular fruit for men is the banana. This is due to the the fact that bananas contain bromelain, an enzyme also found in pineapple. Bromelain has been linked to increased libido in men, and has even been said to help reverse impotence. Because of all the nutrients and vitamins in bananas, especially B vitamins, bananas are also a healthy food that increases overall energy. Try combining bananas and a dark chocolate fondue for a libido increasing dessert. Avocados, chilies, and pumpkin seeds are some other less obvious choices for partners looking for foods to increase libido. Eat enough of these sex drive-improving foods, and you might even run the risk of sexual addiction.
